Mother’s Day is May 8th this year, it’s time to start thinking about what you are going to get the special mom in your life this year. Five years ago on Mother’s Day, we told our families we were pregnant. My mother-in-law says that was the best Mother’s Day gift she has ever gotten. Since I won’t be repeating that this year, ha, I put together this list of simple gifts for mom. Enjoy!
Wellness Mother’s Day Gifts-

Face Masks- Treat mom to an at-home spa treatment with these masks. This company has great quality products with clean ingredients. Gua Sha Stones and Jade Roller– Give mom the tools to give herself a gua sha and jade roller facial. Facial gua sha promotes lymphatic drainage, increases circulation, reduces inflammation, relieves jaw and muscle tension, reduces sinus congestion and can relieve headaches. Using the jade roller has similar benefits to doing facial gua sha, however you get better results with gua sha because it is more intense. Essential Oil Gifts for Mom’s
Essential Oils Brands-
- Young Living– YL is an awesome brand with really high quality oils. I am obsessed with their Thieves Household Cleaner and have mentioned it in several posts, but I also use a lot of their oils. They have a great starter kit with all the everyday oils you would need. It is on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for with these.
- Plant Therapy– Another great essential oil brand is Plant Therapy. They are comparable in quality to Young Living, certified organic and a little more affordable.
Essential Oil Diffuser–
I just recently came across this Pure Enrichment PureGlow Crystal 2-in-1 Himalayan Salt Lamp & Ultrasonic Diffuser and I am in love! It combines essential oils with the powers of a salt lamp. - Luna Market is owned by my dear friend, Lexie. She makes all the jewelry by hand. Luna Market has several different bracelets with lava rocks that are perfect for diffusing your oils. - Mom, I Want to Hear Your Story– This is a journal to give to your mom for her to fill out. There are prompts like “what accomplishments are you most proud of” and “what have you been told about the day that you were born”. This is a great way to get mom to write down some of those stories so they can be passed down for generations.
- Grandmother’s Journal– Here is one for the grandma in your life. I got this one for my mom for her birthday last year. It has prompts like “traits I got from my mom and dad” and “things our family enjoyed doing together”.
Other Mother’s Day Gift Ideas-
Stitch Fix Box– Since subscription boxes are all the rage, here’s another one. Stich Fix is a clothing box subscription service. You are asked several questions about your style and sizing and their stylist hand picks out items for you. They send you the box, you try on the clothes. If you like them, you buy them, if you don’t, you send them back. They offer gifts cards, so you can let mom personalize her box exactly how she wants.
Stitch Fix actually assigns a stylist to you, so they learn what you like. My sister-in-law tried Stitch Fix and her stylist was someone that she knew from college! What better way to treat mom than to give her her own stylist (kind of, ha)? Check it out here.
Ember Temperature Control Smart Mug- This mug is perfect for those moms that have their hands full and never get a chance to finish their coffee while it’s still hot. It will keep your coffee hot all day if you leave it on the charger and up to 1.5 hours off the charger. You can choose the exact temperature you want your coffee to stay at and it turns off when the coffee is all gone! This would make a great gift for any new mom.
Handwritten Recipe Cookware on Etsy– Here is another awesome handwritten gift idea. This is a great idea for my Grandma’s old recipes. There is something extra special about handwritten recipes from people who are no longer with us. This is the perfect way to preserve those recipes. You can have any recipe engraved on any kind of dish or onto a wood recipe card.
- Soul Kitchen Keepsakes will transfer any recipe onto the porcelain dish of your choice, keep in mind it takes 3-4 weeks because the pieces need to be fired. You can also add a photo or drawing to your piece.

Hu Kitchen– What better way to spoil mom than with chocolate, am I right? This is my favorite chocolate and it is guilt free! Hu Kitchen’s chocolate is made with simple ingredients that they “obsessively vet”. Their chocolate bars are paleo, vegan, organic, soy free, refined sugar free, with no emulsifiers or soy lecithin. They also have grain free crackers, chocolate covered hunks, chocolate gems and their new grain free cookies. The cookies would be another great way to spoil mom, they are sweetened with just dates!
